Terms & Conditions

Last updated: August 3, 2026
This page describes how Logtryl actually works today. It hasn’t been reviewed by an attorney — have it checked against the laws that apply to your business before relying on it for compliance purposes.

1. Acceptance of Terms

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) are a legal agreement between you (and, if you’re acting on behalf of an organization, that organization) and Kodeln Inc. (“Logtryl”, “Company”, “we”, “us”, or “our”), governing your access to and use of the Logtryl web dashboard, desktop app, mobile apps, and related services (together, the “Service”). By creating an account or otherwise using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you don’t agree, don’t use the Service.

2. The Service

Logtryl is a bug- and issue-tracking platform that lets teams capture, discuss, and resolve issues across web, desktop, and mobile. It includes optional diagnostic tooling (console/network capture, screen recording, and similar debug aids) that help reproduce and troubleshoot reported issues. These tools can capture detailed technical data about whatever application or environment you point them at — see our Privacy Policy for what that means in practice, and use good judgment about what you record.

3. Free Alpha Period & Future Paid Plans

Logtryl is currently offered free of charge as part of an early-access/alpha program. Features, limits, and availability may change — including being added, removed, or restricted — at any time and without advance notice while we’re in this stage.

We intend to introduce paid subscription plans in the future. If and when we do, we’ll give existing accounts reasonable advance notice before any previously-free functionality starts requiring a paid plan. Continuing to use the Service after a paid plan takes effect for your account may require you to subscribe; we may otherwise limit, suspend, or downgrade functionality for accounts that don’t.

Because the Service is currently free, it’s provided without any uptime, support-response, or data-durability commitments. Please keep your own backups of anything you can’t afford to lose — see Section 10 below.

4. Eligibility & Accounts

You must be at least 16 years old to create an account. You’re responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activity that happens under your account. Tell us right away at support@logtryl.com if you suspect unauthorized access.

If you create an account on behalf of a company or other entity (an “Account”), you represent that you’re authorized to bind that entity to these Terms, and “you” in these Terms refers to that entity as well as you personally.

5. Your Content

You retain ownership of the tickets, comments, attachments, debug recordings, and other content you or your team submit to the Service (“Your Content”). You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive license to host, store, reproduce, transmit, and display Your Content solely as needed to provide, maintain, and support the Service to you.

You’re responsible for Your Content and for having the rights to submit it — including making sure you have appropriate permission before capturing debug sessions, screen recordings, or attachments that include other people’s personal data (for example, data belonging to your own end users or customers). If your use of the Service involves personal data of third parties, you act as the data controller for that data and we act as your processor — see our Privacy Policy for details.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • use the Service for anything unlawful, or to store or share content you don’t have the right to share;
  • attempt to disrupt, overload, or gain unauthorized access to the Service or other accounts;
  • reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the Service, except where applicable law gives you the right to do so;
  • use the Service to knowingly capture, store, or transmit malware, or to circumvent security measures of any system; or
  • resell or provide the Service to third parties as your own hosted product without our written agreement.

7. Third-Party Services & Integrations

The Service integrates with, or is built on, third-party infrastructure and services — including cloud hosting and file storage (Amazon Web Services), sign-in and push notifications (Google), and, once billing launches, payment processing (Stripe). You may also choose to connect optional integrations, such as Jira, which involve sending data to that third party under its own terms. We’re not responsible for the practices or availability of third-party services you choose to connect.

8. Intellectual Property

We own the Service and its underlying software, design, and branding. Nothing in these Terms transfers any of that to you, except the limited right to use the Service as intended.

9. Termination

You may stop using the Service and close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, pose a security risk, or — during the free alpha period — that are inactive or that we discontinue support for as we adjust the product. Where reasonably possible, we’ll try to give notice before terminating an account for reasons other than a Terms violation.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE,” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, OR THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE, TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW. THIS APPLIES WITH PARTICULAR FORCE DURING THE FREE ALPHA PERIOD DESCRIBED IN SECTION 3: WE DON’T GUARANTEE THE AVAILABILITY, ACCURACY, OR CONTINUED STORAGE OF ANY DATA YOU SUBMIT, AND RECOMMEND YOU KEEP YOUR OWN COPY OF ANYTHING IMPORTANT.

Nothing in this section limits any warranty or right that can’t lawfully be excluded or limited under the law that applies to you — including, for consumers in the EU/EEA and UK, statutory rights relating to the quality and description of digital services, which remain unaffected.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Logtryl and Kodeln Inc. won’t be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or business, arising from your use of the Service, even if we’ve been advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total liability for any claim arising out of the Service is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us for the Service in the 12 months before the claim, or (b) 100 USD — reflecting that the Service is currently provided free of charge.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability for fraud, or for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any other liability that can’t be limited or excluded under applicable law.

12. Governing Law & Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles, except where applicable local law requires otherwise (for example, mandatory consumer-protection rules in your country of residence). Any dispute not resolved informally will be brought in the state or federal courts located in San Francisco, California, and you consent to their jurisdiction, unless applicable law gives you the right to bring a claim in your home jurisdiction instead.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time, particularly as the Service evolves out of its free alpha period. We’ll update the date at the top of this page when we do, and, for material changes, will make reasonable efforts to notify account owners (such as by email or an in-app notice) before the changes take effect.
